And Then There Were None

The last two left alive are “Philip Lombard” (Louis Hayward) and Vera Claythorne (June Duprez). Vera is innocent of the murder of which she was accused; “Lombard” is an imposter — the best friend of the real Phillip Lombard, who committed suicide. Together they return to the house and confront the murderer, Judge Quincannon (Barry Fitzgerald), who faked his death with the help of the doctor (Walter Huston) whom he then killed. The judge has taken poison; the couple escapes.
