Pooper:
Brett reports the fraternity’s actions to the school administration. He and Brad then drive to the site of the attack on Brad (ostensibly to give Brad closure).

Long Ending:
Brad (Ben Schnetzer) is a high schooler visiting his older brother Brett (Nick Jonas) at college and attends a party being thrown by Brett’s fraternity, Phi Sigma Mu. Brad decides to leave early when he becomes uncomfortable with the drugs and sex acts at the party. He agrees to give two local teens a ride home. The teens direct Brad to a vacant part of town, beat him, and steal his car. Brad is traumatized by the event, but with Brett’s encouragement, decides to enroll in college as planned.

Brad is courted by Brett and Brett’s fraternity brothers to rush Phi Sigma Mu. They promise him camaraderie and say that as a frat brother, he will never suffer another experience like the one he suffered at the hands of the locals. Brad and his roommate Will (Danny Flaherty) decide to rush.

The pledges (those rushing for the fraternity) are hazed. Initially, the hazing is limited to heavy drinking and some taunting. But the fraternity brothers soon engage in more abusive behavior – forcing the pledges to sleep while tied together, eating food out of a toilet, and forcing the pledges to drink an entire keg in an hour. The frat brothers also prey on Brad’s trauma, giving him verbal abuse and forcing him to fight with Will. Brett is the only fraternity brother to object to the harshness of the hazing. The fraternity brothers acknowledge that hazing is prohibited, but they don’t pay any heed to Brett’s requests that they back off the pledges. Brett tells Brad to give up and quit the rush process. But wanting to prove his manhood Brett refuses to quit the pledge process.

The fraternity brothers start physically abusing the pledges. One of the fraternity brothers hits Will in the head with a blunt object, giving him a concussion. Will dies shortly thereafter from a stroke (that may have been caused by the concussion). The fraternity brothers close ranks and tell all the pledges not to cooperate in the investigation into Will’s death. But someone reports everything that happened to the school administration and Phi Sigma Mu is placed on probation (and the frat brothers facing likely suspension or expulsion and loss of scholarships). The frat brothers blame Brad and put a goat into his room, feed it laxatives, and have it defecate on all Brad’s stuff. Brad angrily confronts the brothers and claims he did not turn them in. Brett then reveals he is the one that turned the fraternity in. One of the brothers attempts to beat Brett up, but Brett emerges victorious from the fight.

Brett then accompanies Brad to the police station where the police want Brad to identify one of the local teens that beat and robbed him (Brad had been refusing to go to the station, seemingly out of fear of confronting the teens). Brad learns that one of the teens was shot to death in a subsequent robbery. He then declines to identify the other teen. Brett and Brad then drive together to the place where Brad was beaten and robbed and the movie ends (this is likely meant to mean that Brett is the brother Brad really needs and will actually help him overcome his trauma).

There is a James Franco cameo in this film.
