Tommy (Ray Barlow) and Linda (Susan Bernard) are a young couple out doing time trials on Tommy’s car in the desert. They encounter three wild, uninhibited go-go dancers, Billie (Lori Williams), Rosie (Haji), and Varla (Tura Satana). Varla’s abrasive personality leads her into a fight with Tommy in which she breaks his neck. The girls then kidnap and drug Linda.

Shortly afterwards they stop at a remote gas station and meet a wheelchair-bound old man (Stuart Lancaster) and his muscular, dim-witted son whom he calls “The Vegetable” (Dennis Busch). The station attendant tells them that the old man lives off a large medical settlement he won from the railroad. Varla decides to rob him, and the girls follow him back to his house in the desert. They manage to get him to offer some hospitality and sit down to eat with the old man, his Vegetable, and his older son Kirk (Paul Trinka). They claim that they are bringing Linda back to her father, who she had run away from. After eating, Varla tries to seduce Kirk in hopes that he will reveal the location of the old man’s money. Linda and runs off into the desert. The old man and the Vegetable quickly catch her.  Kirk, acknowledging his father’s lecherous nature and the poor way he treats the Vegetable, vows to have his younger brother put into an institution.

Varla drives back to the house and tells Billie and Rosie that they should kill Linda and the men. When Billie refuses, Varla throws a knife into her back. The old man and Vegetable arrive in time to see this. Rosie and Varla hit the old man with their car, killing him. In the process they find that his money is hidden in his wheelchair. The Vegetable then kills Rosie. Varla tries to kill him with her car, but only injures him. She takes off in the truck and overtakes finds Kirk and Linda. Varla fights Kirk hand to hand, defeating him – but Linda hits her with the truck before she can finish him off, killing her.
