Moze (Danny Glover) is attacked by KKK members, but Mr. Will (John Malkovich) is able to scare them away. Moze decides to leave the town before they come back for him. The last scene is at a church. The bread and wine is being passed around, and we see that Margaret (Lindsay Crouse)and Wayne (Ed Harris) are sitting together. Then we see the bread and wine being passed to Moze. We also see it being passed to Edna’s husband and then to the man who killed him.
Thanks, lakerfan6, who says: “The ending’s a little confusing, but I think it’s supposed to be about forgiveness.”
