C.S.A. is a documentary about American history and contemporary life since the South won The War of Northern Aggression (a.k.a. The Civil War), where slavery still exists.

The abolitionists fled to Canada following the South’s victory, and, now known as the “John Brown Underground”, or JBU, conduct terrorist raids and have vowed to end slavery in America.

Abraham Lincoln was captured and sent to prison for two years.  He also fled to Canada following his release.

In 2000, John Ambrose Fauntroy, a direct descendant of one of the founders of the Confederacy, ran for President of the Confederate States.  He is the front-runner until one of his slaves comes forward claiming that his family and the Fauntroy family are related.  John denies the claim, but refused to take a DNA test that would reveal the truth.  The allegation costs him the Presidency, and he commits suicide a few weeks later.  A DNA test taken after his death showed that the allegations were false; the slave family and the Fauntroy family are not related.

The products promoted in the fake TV commercials shown during the film (Darkie toothpaste, Golddust Twins cleaner, Coon Chicken Inn, etc.) are revealed to be actual items once sold in the United States as recently as the 1980s.
