Ben(1972)

Policemen, firemen, and sewer workers kill all of the rats down in the sewers with flamethrowers, gunfire, and water from fire hoses.

David (Lee H. Montgomery), believing Ben to have been killed as well, goes into his workshop and tearfully mourns him. Then, a rat’s squeaks reach his ears, and he looks down at the floor to see Ben lying there, wounded but alive. He picks him up, puts him on a table, and begins to clean his wounds while promising him that they will both get well.
