In the end we find the webcast Olive (Emma Stone) has been narrating is going out to the students – explaining how things got messed up. Todd (Penn Badgley) interrupts at the last minute using every John Hughes film cliche she’d mentioned earlier – carrying her off on a borrowed lawn-mower.
