Small Things Like These(2024)

Bill (Cillian Murphy) risks scorn from his neighbors and the threat from Sister Mary (Emily Watson) of losing a good education for his daughters, and rescues Sarah (Zara Devlin) from the coal shed of the Magdalene Laundry.

Bill brings Sarah home to his family.

The film is dedicated to the women who toiled in these workhouses from 1922 to 1998, however these places existed since the 1700’s and 1800’s depending on the country.
