Night at the Eagle Inn(2021)

The hotel is cursed. The Night Manager (Greg Schweers) made a literal deal with the Devil to keep the hotel open. The Devil took possession of the man’s soul and required 100 souls of the guests that check into the hotel before it would be returned.

By signing the guestbook, Sarah (Amelia Dudley) and Spencer (Taylor Turner) know they have been marked for death. The handyman, Dean (Beau Minnear) suggests trying to get the guest book and destroy it, perhaps saving themselves. They are able to burn it, devastating The Night Manager. However, this is when Dean shows his true colors.

Dean is in actuality the Devil, who the manager made the deal with. By manipulating Sarah and Spencer into burning the book, all the progress the manager made in freeing his soul is null and void. When The Night Manager tries to defiantly protest, Dean forces him to cut his own throat. He then explains to the twins that they are already doomed. However he offers the same deal he gave The Night Manager; if they bring him 100 souls each, he will let them go, or he can claim to hell immediately if they refuse. The twins, with little choice (and knowing Dean will probably find a way to screw them) silently agree.

The film ends with a new victim entering the lobby, with Sarah, the new manager there to greet him, and asking to sign his name in the guestbook…
