One Battle After Another(2025)

The revolutionary group, The French 75, pull off several attacks and make an enemy of Captain Steven J. Lockjaw (Sean Penn). Two members, “Ghetto” Pat Calhoun (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Perfidia Beverly Hills (Teyana Taylor), begin a relationship, but Lockjaw forces Perfidia into a sexual affair after catching her during a bank robbery. Perfidia later gives birth to a girl, Charlene, but she abandons Pat and Charlene to continue being a revolutionary instead of settling down. When Lockjaw captures Perfidia, she sells out her former comrades to avoid jail and goes into witness protection. Most of the French 75 are killed, while Pat has to take Charlene to a sanctuary city, Baktan Cross, to live as Bob and Willa Ferguson. Perfidia escapes to Mexico where Lockjaw can’t find her.

16 years later, Bob is an alcoholic and drug abuser, while Willa (Chase Infiniti) has a strained relationship with him. Lockjaw is up for a position with the white supremacist organization, The Christmas Adventurers, but he goes after Willa when the others have suggested that he was involved in an interracial affair. A former French 75 member, Deandra (Regina Hall), intercepts Willa before Lockjaw and his goons can get to her. Bob must meet her at a rendezvous point but fails to remember the passcodes needed to get the info. He gets help from Willa’s sensei, Sergio, who aids undocumented immigrants.

Deandra brings Willa to a convent of revolutionary nuns. Lockjaw finds the place first and forces Willa to undergo a DNA test, confirming he is her biological father. He has his bounty hunter, Avanti Q, attempt to dispose of her, but he refuses to harm a minor, so Avanti kills Lockjaw’s gunmen and goes down himself. Bob manages to hot-wire a car after escaping custody with Sergio and heads toward the convent. Smith shoots Lockjaw in the face and leaves him for dead on the side of the road. He goes after Willa, but she manages to ambush him by getting him to crash his car, before she kills him. Bob finds Willa and reunites with her.

Lockjaw survives his attack but is gassed to death by the Christmas Adventurers after he confirms his affair. Bob and Willa return home, and she is starting to follow in Bob and Perfidia’s footsteps as a revolutionary by going to join a protest in Oakland.
