Ben (Miguel Torres Umba) is killed by Adam (Troy Kotsur), Lucy (Johnny Sequoia) and Erin (Gia Hunter), the only survivors of the group.

Longer version
Ben, the pet chimpanzee of college student Lucy and her deaf writer father Adam, having been bitten earlier by a rabid mongoose, slowly unhinges and, overcome by rabies, goes berserk and starts attacking and gruesomely killing people around him, beginning with Dr. Lambert (Rob Delaney), the veterinarian who was overseeing him, by ripping his face off.

Ben, in his infected state, manages to corner everyone into the house’s pool -he won’t jump into the pool himself, due to the hydrophobia induced by rabies-, where they are temporarily safe. Each of the friends attempt to sneak off the pool to either find Ben and subdue him, or just escape the house, but Ben gets the upper hand every time:
– Nick (Benjamin Cheng) is himself pushed off the cliff when trying to push Ben off the edge of the pool.
– Kate (Victoria Wyant) is bludgeoned to death with a rock.
– Drew (Charlie Mann) has his jaw torn off.
– Brad (Tienne Simon) is beaten to death with a shovel.
– Hannah (Jessica Alexander) is savagely mauled while trapped inside the vehicle.

Meanwhile, Adam, concerned due to not getting any answer to the texts he had been repeatedly sending Lucy, and having been notified by a lab that analyzed the infected mongoose about the positive rabies test, leaves the book signing event and rushes back to the house, fearing trouble. Upon arrival, after a brief confrontation with a now-totally-savage Ben, he, Lucy and Erin join forces and lure him to a balcony where they shove him off and he lands on a broken table leg, getting impaled and killed. All three survive and are safe.

In the end, police arrive, having traced Hanna’s phone call attempt and assess the scene. The movie ends as one of the officers, having collected Ben’s communication soundboard as evidence, accidentally activates the LUCY BAD sound, which scares Lucy.
