The developers discover bones of early settlers. So the resort plan is killed. Marly Temple (Edie Falco) does not sell the family motel and Jack Meadows (Tim Hutton) leaves for the next job. Desiree (Angela Bassett) decides to stay in town with her mother, Eunice (Mary Alice) and work on their relationship. Francine (Mary Steenburgen) and Earl (Grodon Clapp) Pickney stay together.
