A New Zealand Science Fiction film that with an ambiguous ending no one seems to agree on.

Zac Hobson (Bruno Lawrence) is a scientist working on a world wide power grid system that he has doubts about. He attempts to commit suicide just as it is turned on. His suicide fails and when he wakes up he discovers he is alone. He eventually discovers two other survivors who like himself had a near death experience. They conclude that the effect is going to happen again and resolve to stop it. Zac drives a truck packed with explosives to the local power station and sets it off. When he wakes up he find himself in the scene depicted on the poster. A strange world with a rising ringed planet and mushroom clouds in the sky. Did he die or was he teleported someplace else?
