One by one, Juror #8 (Henry Fonda) convinces the others that his doubts about the guilt of the accused youth are reasonable, and they change their votes.

The last holdout is Juror #3 (Lee J. Cobb), who has prejudged the accused based on the bad relationship he has with his own son.

After #3 breaks down, a final vote is taken, and the kid is acquitted.
