While the four are scuba diving (Max – Pierce Brosnan; Lola – Salma Hayek;  Stan – Woody Harrelson; Sophie- Naomie Harris), Max sneaks off to the cruise ship and steals the diamond. 

It turns out that Stan had tricked Max all along, and he subsequently steals it from Max’s hiding place. 

The movie finishes with Max and Lola sitting happily on the deck she built.  Stan is arriving at the airport in a limo with the diamond to leave the island, when Max takes control of the limo via remote – just like at the start of the movie. 

The credits roll with the limo being driven erratically on the tarmac.
