Billie Jean King (Emma Stone) wins the “Battle of the Sexes.”

LONGER:
In 1973, Bobby Riggs challenged #1 player Billie Jean King to a tennis match for $100,000 in an effort to prove that the sport belongs to men. Despite initially rejecting his offer, Billie Jean takes him on after Bobby defeats Margaret Court and brags about it.

Billie Jean also enters a relationship with her hairdresser, Marilyn Barnett, while still married to her husband Larry.

Billie Jean faces Bobby in the match that would be known as the “Battle of the Sexes”, and she beats him. He takes his loss in stride and congratulates Billie Jean.
