Breathless(1960)

Jean-Paul Belmondo steals a car in Marseilles and then shoots a policeman.

Belmondo goes to Paris to collect on a loan to finance escaping to Italy with his American girlfriend Jean Seberg. 

Jean Seberg slowly realizes that Jean-Paul is the last man on earth any woman needs – but every woman wants. 

Jean Seberg finally betrays him and Jean-Paul is shot to death in the street.
