Twelve teenagers enroll at the American Ballet Academy in New York City to make it as ballet dancers. At the end of the workshop a few of the dancers will be chosen to stay on as members of “the company”.

Cooper (Ethan Stiefel) starts his own Dance Company and Jody Sawyer (Amanda Schull) is asked to join him as his “principal star”, she accepts his offer and leaves the ABC (American Ballet Company).

Maureen (Susan May Pratt), relizes she doesn’t really want to be a dancer and quits. Eva (Zoe Saldana) takes her place on stage at the last moment and is offered a spot with the company. Erik is also offered a spot despite his ankle injury.
