Synopsis
Charlie Wilson (Tom Hanks) is able to get Congress to spend $500 million dollars on funding Afghanistan in the fight against the Russians after the initial proposal of $5 million.
At the end of the movie Charlie Wilson is honored for his work towards ending the cold war and Joanne Herring (Julia Roberts) gets married to someone else.
