Dance of the Damned(1989)
Submitted by Tornado Dragon
During their night together, the vampire (Cyril O’Reilly) takes Jodi (Starr Andreeff) to visit her son that she had been legally barred from seeing due to “kidnapping” him a while back, giving her the chance to wish him a happy birthday in person like she wanted. Grateful to the vampire for doing this for her, Jodi takes him down to the beach at the Santa Monica Pier and sets up a scenario for him to give him a good idea of what sunlight feels like. After this, she tells him that she doesn’t want to die anymore and wishes that she could start her life over. They then go to the strip club she works at, where she does one more dance for him at his request, and they wind up having sex afterwards.
Upon returning to his house, the vampire feeds Jodi some of his blood so she can temporarily experience being a vampire herself. She goes outside and almost attempts to bite a passing paperboy, but after the vampire comes out and asks if she would prefer that he take the boy instead of her, she comes to her senses and tells the boy to run. The vampire then brings her back inside and tries to bite her as planned, but she fights back, and he chases her all over the house until she locks herself in the upstairs bathroom, and by this point, the sun has risen.
Jodi manages to pry open the black screen covering the window and get the blinds open, allowing the sunlight to shine in. She begs for the vampire not to come in, but he rips the door off with a strange smile on his face and gets bathed in the sunlight. After he comments on how beautiful it is, the movie ends on a freeze frame of him and Jodi reaching for each other’s hand.
