The super fuel turns out to be a hoax. Brenda (Brooke Shields) cannot decide whether to be with Basil St. John (Timothy Dalton) or Mike the cartoonist (Tony Peck).

She does, however, chooses to stay in the cartoon world, leaving Mike to go back to the real world alone. His only consolation is that as Brenda’s cartoonist, he will be able to see Brenda every day and vice versa.
