In spite of the fact that ‘Shoeless’ Joe Jackson (D.B. Sweeney) and Buck Weaver (John Cusack) didn’t participate in the conspiracy to throw the world series (Shoeless Joe even set a few records!), they are banned for life along with those who were involved.
