Moana 2(2024)

Years after saving her island, Moana is looking to find other tribes connected to the ocean. She experiences a vision of the island Motufetu, which previously connected all the other tribes until it was sent underwater by the evil god Nalo, who now guards the island with a terrible storm. Moana is joined by three crew members (Moni, Loto, and Kele), plus her pets Pua and Heihei, to go find Motufetu and save the future of their island.

Maui is also looking for Motufetu and has a grudge with Nalo. He is trapped in a cave by Matangi, a witch forced to be Nalo’s prisoner and servant. Moana and her crew run into the Kakamora again, where they learn that they are just seeking their home island after being separated when Motufetu disappeared. They find Matangi’s cave inside a giant monster clam before Maui is freed. Matangi helps Moana find a way to escape.

The crew nearly reaches the island, but they run into Nalo’s sea serpents, one of which almost eats Moni. Their canoe is destroyed, but Maui encourages Moana to keep going. They make it closer to Motufetu, but Nalo’s lightning hits Maui and takes away his godhood before he can pull the island out of the ocean. Moana swims underwater to touch the island and break the curse, but Nalo’s lightning strikes and kills her. Maui goes underwater and is joined by Moana’s ancestors to revive her. They raise the island and are joined by the other tribes of the ocean.

Moana returns to her family so they can meet the other tribes and continue to sail across the ocean. Meanwhile, Nalo plots revenge against Moana and the other humans.
