Jennings (Ben Affleck) spent three years building a machine that can see the future. The 12 items he left for himself help him to escape from the FBI and to get back into the plant to destroy his creation. The device is destroyed and Rethrick (Aaron Eckert) is killed. Jennings uses the machine to predict a lottery drawing so he, Rachel (Uma Thurman) and Shorty (Paul Giamatti) split $90 million.
