Santa (J.K. Simmons) was never taken from the North Pole. Gryla (Kiernan Shipka) is extracting Santa’s energy and using some ancient North Pole equipment to replicate millions of globes that can imprison someone that picks one up.

Krampus (Kristofer Hivju) and Santa’s reindeer arrive to help during the final battle between Gryla in ogre form, and Callum (Dwayne Johnson) and Jack (Chris Evans). Gryla falls into the sleigh full of globes and is imprisoned. Zoe (Lucy Liu) takes the globe containing Gryla.

Christmas Eve goes on with Santa delivering presents accompanied by Callum, Jack and Dylan (Wesley Kimmel). Jack recaptures the joy of Christmas and bonds with Dylan. Seeing this, Callum chooses not to retire.
