The Great Race(1965)

During a 1908 automobile race from NYC to Paris, reporter Maggie Dubois (Natalie Wood) covers the competition between The Great Leslie (Tony Curtis) and Professor Fate (Jack Lemmon). 

After enduring a massive bar fight, a trip across the Bering strait on an ice flote, a Prisoner of Zenda sub-plot and the greatest pie fight ever; Lemmon wins because Curtis throws the race to prove his love to Natalie Wood.
