Having successfully sabotaged the maiden voyage of the titular vessel (which was never even on the water!) and humiliating and frightening all the wealthy guests aboard it, Sir Guy Grand (Peter Sellers) launches one final stunt to demonstrate people’s constant lust for money – he liberally sprinkles a vat of animal wastes with thousands of dollars in cash, inviting the public to wade into it and retrieve all the money they want. Perhaps hundreds do.

Guy “retires”, of a sort, with his adopted ward Youngman (Ringo Starr) to Hyde Park; as they bed down in sleeping bags, Guy agrees with Youngman that “There must be a better way.” The groundskeeper that ordered Youngman out at the start of the film tries to shoo them away, but Guy successfully bribes him to leave them alone.
