Flint Lockwood (the young inventor) successfully stops the food-pocalypse that he unintentionally started, by flying a jet-car into the sky and disabling the device he created, which was raining giant and destructive food items on the earth.  He also gets the girl (Sam Sparks, the weather girl) in the end.
