Patrick/Patrica “Kitten” Braden (Cillian Murphy) gets the address of his real mother from Father Liam (Liam Neeson) his real father. Kitten goes to the house in London. Kitten first meets his half-brother, Patrick (Sid Young). When Kitten comes face to face with Eily Bergin (Eva Birthistle) he faints. Kitten posing as a telephone survey person asks Eily some questions. He confirms that she is married and has two children, a teenage daughter and Patrick. At the end of the film we find out that Eily is pregnant.
After Kitten finds his mother he goes back home to Ireland. Charlie needs him. Charlie (Ruth Negga) is heavy with child. The father, Irwin (Laurence Kinlan) was shot in the back of the head by the organization because he gave up details. Father Liam was taking care of Charlie in the church. Kitten starts a new life with Father Liam and Charlie. The other town folk are not pleased and go to the Bishop. Next thing we know the church is fire bombed. Luckily Father Liam was able to carry Charlie out and Kitten escapes as well.
Charlie and Kitten go to a hospital and delivery the baby. Father Liam gets offered a posting at another parish.
