Burke (Simon Pegg) ends up taking the fall for the murders, and is executed.

He ends up being dissected, like all of his victims, on the table of Prof. Alexander Monro (Tim Curry).

His perfectly preserved skeleton is on display at one of Edinburgh’s crime museums.
