After another skin graft fails to take, on his daughter Christiane (Edit Scob), Dr. Génessier (Pierre Brasseur) has his assistant Louise (Alida Valli) abduct another young woman from his clinic (who has only been sent there by the police to investigate if it is indeed Louise who is abducting young women). However, Christiane doesn’t want another attempt at a graft and frees the girl, and killing Louise by stabbing her in the neck with a scalpel. She releases all the dogs that her father mistreated and they attack Dr Génessier as he walks back from his clinic, tearing his face off.

Christiane walks away carrying a single white dove on her hand.
