Night of the Virgin(2012)
Submitted by Evan B
Pooper:
After Nico gives birth to the supernatural baby, Spider and Medea are killed in the ensuing struggle. Nico then jumps out the window to escape and, with no one to nourish it, the demonic baby bursts into flames. Nico goes insane from the experience and is wrongly convicted of murdering Spider, Madea and the baby.
Long Ending:
Nico (Javier Bódalo) is a young man hoping to lose his virginity on New Year’s Eve. After unsuccessful attempts to attract potential partners, a middle aged woman approaches Nico and invites him back to her apartment.
The woman’s name is Medea (Miriam Martín). Her apartment is incredibly filthy, infested with rats and cockroaches (Medea warns Nico that killing roaches is bad luck. Throughout the film, any time Nico kills a roach, misfortune strikes). It turns out that she is a member of a goddess worshipping Tibetan cult. Medea keeps her menses in a ritual goblet as part of her worship. The two almost have sex, but Medea passes out. Nico masturbates instead
After Medea wakes up, Nico goes to leave. As he walks towards the door, a man named Spider (Víctor Amilibia) tries to break in from the outside. Spider is Medea’s boyfriend (they broke up earlier that night) who wants to apologize and reunite. He threatens to kill Nico in a jealous rage. Medea adamantly insists Nico not call the cops and tries to steal his phone. Nico is wounded and collapses in the bathroom where he knocks over the menses goblet. The blood mixes with the semen from his masturbation. It turns out that this (along with his virginity) marks Nico as the chosen one to partake in a ritual to Medea’s goddess.
Spider explains through the door that, as the chosen one, Nico must impregnate Medea before the sun rises. Spider (also a virgin) was supposed to go through the ritual, but got cold feet and broke up with Medea instead. Nico is initially willing to go through with impregnating Medea just to be let out of the apartment, but changes his mind upon discovering that Medea is now possessed by the goddess. Eventually, Spider makes his way inside and forces Nico to have sex with the possessed Medea.
To Nico’s surprise, he becomes pregnant. Spider and Medea (no longer possessed) praise him for his service to the goddess and explain he will give birth to the goddess’ spawn before the sun rises. Nico unsuccessfully tries to escape. In an incredibly graphic scene, Nico gives birth to a demonic baby (it comes out his butt).
Medea then says that Nico must nourish the baby by feeding his privates to it. The trio struggle and both Medea and Spider are killed. The baby then approaches Nico. Losing his sanity, Nico jumps out the apartment window in an attempted suicide. Lacking nourishment, the demonic child combusts. Nico survives his fall but has clearly been driven insane. As onlookers call the cops, Nico begs a nearby cockroach to bestow luck upon him.
In a mid-credits scene, a news report explains that Nico was accused by the police of breaking into the apartment and murdering Medea, Spider and the baby. Nico was convicted of triple homicide and given a lifetime sentence in a mental hospital. He was also nicknamed “the virgin” by the press.
