Luke Shapiro (Josh Peck) doesn’t up with Stephanie (Olivia Thirlby).
Dr. Squires (Ben Kingsley) divorces his wife (Talia Balsam) and attempts suicide only to be stopped by Luke.
Luke’s parents lose their apartment. Luke want to major in psychology because everybody around him is messed up.
The last scene is of him going on a train to parts unknown.
