Yugi gives Kaiba the last two pieces of the Millenium Puzzle, but breaks the bad news that it no longer holds the soul of Atem (Yami) as Yugi freed it in a duel in the anime.

Yugi and Kaiba team up to face Deva/Aigami possessed by the power of the Millenium Ring in a duel while the world is consumed by the dark dimension. When Kaiba’s Life Points are reduced to zero, the spirit of Atem appears, which fulfills the prophecy that takes away Aigami’s power along with all the disciples of Shadi Shin. Yugi defeats Aigami and frees the world from darkness. 
Kaiba uses the power of the Aigami’s cube of darkness to travel to ancient Egypt, where he confronts the Pharaoh Atem.
