Max (Clive Owen) is a homosexual sent to a Nazi concentration camp. Max chooses to lie and do terrible things to avoid the pink triangle. In the concentration camp, he falls in love with a homosexual named Horst who tells him to be who he is. After Horst is shot by guards, Max puts on a pink triangle and electrocutes himself.
