Bad Girls(1994)

Short pooper:
Cody (Madeleine Stowe) and her friends kill Kid (James Russo) and his entire gang in a shootout. Eileen (Andie MacDowell) marries, and settles down with, the rancher who was guarding her when she was jailed. She bids farewell to Cody, Anita (Mary Stuart Masterson) and Lily (Drew Barrymore), who leave towards the West.

Longer version:
As a vengeance, Cody and her gang intercept Kid and his troop trying to rob a train and take off with the loot for themselves, but Lily cannot make her escape and is taken by Kid’s guys to his hideout. In turn, they take veteran outlaw Frank Jarrett (Robert Loggia).

Feeling increasingly frustrated with what seems like an aimless endeavour at the cost of their freedom and safety, Anita consults with a lawyer from the town nearby the ranch where they were hiding, about the possibility of claiming the land her deceased husband owned, only to discover that she, herself, could not do it by herself, unless her husband was alive. Meanwhile, Jarrett, after constantly taunting his captors, ends up shot dead by McCoy (Dermot Mulroney), which makes Cody send him off the ranch. To make it up to Cody, McCoy returns to Kid’s hideout, where he manages to save and release Lily -who was about to be raped-, but ends up getting captured and viciously tortured by them.

Once again, the four female friends reacquaint when Lily manages to return to the ranch. Being told McCoy is now Kid’s prisoner, Cody summons her friends once again, determined to rescue him. Upon arrival, she offers an unsympathetic and spiteful Kid the stolen portion of the train loot in exchange for McCoy, who is still barely alive. Kid seems to agree with the deal, but, as soon as he collects the loot, he turns on his word and kills McCoy, who dies in Cody’s arms; he, then, gives Cody back the money, thus showing he only cared about getting revenge for everything Cody had pulled off on him so far.

Despondently, Cody and her gang decide to walk away. However, when one of Kid’s men who almost assaulted Lily mocks her as they leave, Lily pulls a gun and shoots the guy dead, setting off a shootout in which all of Kid’s men end up dead, Cody personally killing Kid in the end.

Some time later, the four friends are seen in the ranch of the guy that Eileen decided to marry and settle down with. Anita, Lily and Cody discuss the prospect of taking off towards the West and search for fame and fortune as part of the Klondike Gold Rush. Eileen tearfully sees her three friends part. As they drive off into the sunset, they pass by the Pinkerton Detectives who were still on their pursuit but do not see them.
