The Pledge
The candy shop owner is the killer of all the little girls. Although Jerry Black’s (Jack Nicholson) set-up would have netted him, the candy shop owner was killed in an auto accident on his way to the “trap.” Jerry ends up looking unbalanced and idiotic.
