Deer Camp ’86(2024)

The monster that has been stalking and killing the group of friends is the vengeful spirit of Star (Tina Joy), the bartender the group had met days before who had been savagely murdered.
It is revealed that J.B. (Brian Raetz) had killed Star after an aborted attempt to rape her. He ultimately started the curse that caused the deaths of his friends Egbert “Ep” (David Lautman), Buck (Jay J. Bidwell), Karlos (Josh Dominguez) and himself.
Wes (Noah LaLonde) recognizes Star. She proceeds to choke him to death, but he begs for mercy, horrified he didn’t know J.B.’s true character. Knowing his decency from the short time they spent together, Star spares him and disappears, taking J.B’s corpse with her. The following morning, he runs into Sheriff Paulson (Paul Wilson) and Simon (Arthur Cartwright), who had left the group before the murders started. When asked what happened, Paulson interrupts saying “It’s always a bear” knowing the truth would never be believed. The three drive off.
38 years later, a new group of friends arrive in the area and stop at a bar. Their bartender is revealed to be…Star. Star has apparently become a cursed immortal being, primed to enact justice every time she (or others) are savagely attacked by strangers.
