Synopsis
Fletch (Chevy Chase) discovers Alan Stanwyk (Tim Matheson) is not dying, but instead is planning to kill Fletch and frame him for his own murder. Chief Karlin (Joe Don Baker), Alan Stanwyk’s partner in crime, is a crooked police chief and is running drugs on the beach. Alan is shot by Chief Karlin. Fletch and Gail Stanwyk (Dana Wheeler-Nicholson) go on vacation together.
