In an effort to improve human vision, Professor Xavier (Ray Milland) tests experimental eye drops on himself that give him….x-ray vision.

Through an accident he becomes a fugitive from the law and is forced to wear cool sun glasses which conceal his black eyes. His vision continues to develop until it drives him to insanity.

He finally plucks his eyes out
