Art student Angélique (Audrey Tautou) is mentally ill and believes that her neighbor, Cardiologist Loïc (Samuel Le Bihan) is in love with her. When Loïc realizes that she, and not the patient he beat up, is the stalker who had been after him for days, he tells her that she is living in a fantasy world. She hits him with a hammer on his head. Loïc ends up in the hospital and survives, Angélique is arrested and put into a mental institution. Years later, she is released as cured. A painter who renovates her room finds an mosaic image of Loïc on the wall behind a closet, made from all the pills she didn’t take.
