Pooper:
Gary saves Lucas from the cult and his father (Satan). Samantha knocks cult leader Reverend Gospel down the pit to Hell. Lucas embraces Gary as his real father.

In this parody of the Omen, Gary (Adam Scott) has just married a single mom named Samantha (Evangeline Lilly). Although the two are in love, Gary has a very difficult time connecting with Samantha’s young son Lucas (Owen Atlas). The boy is very creepy, staring at static on his TV and showing up unexpectedly in strange places throughout the night. After an incident at school where Lucas’ teacher horrifically dies by suicide after making Lucas angry, the school suggests Gary attend group therapy to learn how to become a good role model for Lucas. He joins a stepfather support group attended by his friend and fellow step-parent Al (Bridget Everett). He quickly befriends the other members of the group (played by Donald Faison, Chris D’Elia, and Kyle Bornheimer). Meanwhile, an apocalyptic preacher named Reverend Gospel (Clancy Brown) moves to town.

More creepy things ensue. While watching footage from their wedding (which was hit by a tornado), it appears Lucas called forth the twister to try and sabotage the marriage. Samantha’s past boyfriends and husbands either died young or have gone mad. Samantha herself recounts that she briefly joined a cult and after a ceremony where she lost consciousness, woke up pregnant with Lucas. After a clown mysteriously catches fire while performing at Lucas’ birthday party, Al and Gary consult an exorcist. The exorcist deems Lucas the son of the Devil and says the boy must be killed. The exorcist is then killed in a car crash.

When he arrives home, Gary finds a woman from child protective services named Mrs. Shaylock (Sally Field) interviewing Samantha. Shaylock insists that Gary put Lucas to bed to prove his paternal instincts. He fearfully approaches his stepson, and Lucas uses telekinetic powers to attack Gary. Later that night, Lucas knocks out Gary and tries burying him alive in the backyard. Samantha intervenes and rescues Gary while putting Lucas in timeout. Although she acknowledges Lucas has issues (and Lucas even makes it rain blood), she says she was hoping Gary would be a nice enough guy to try and reach out to her son.

After consulting his support group friends, Gary decides to kill Lucas via drowning him at a water park. However, as the duo spend the day at the water park, they grow close. Lucas even refers to Gary as “daddy.” However, Shaylock shows up and accuses Gary of being unfit and having kidnapped Lucas. Meanwhile, members of Reverend Gospel’s church abduct Samantha. It’s revealed that Gospel is the leader of the cult that impregnated Samantha. Shaylock is also a member of the cult. Gospel now intends to sacrifice Lucas in order to summon Satan. Gary manages to escape police custody and recruits his support group to help him rescue Lucas and Samantha.

The group infiltrates the cult and interrupts the ceremony. Satan emerges and attempts to suck Lucas down to Hell. Gary grabs Lucas, declares his love for him, accepts his role as Lucas’ father, and saves Lucas from Satan. Samantha (who was freed by the others) then knocks Reverent Gospel into the pit to hell after the Reverend attempts to stab Lucas. They then leave the church together as a happy and committed family.
