In the final confrontation, which sees his house getting seriously wrecked, Bart (Peter Weller) finally kills the large rat with a bat studded with spikes and pieces of steel-jawed rat traps. Shortly afterwards, his wife and son return home from their vacation. His wife asks about what happened to the house, and he simply replies, “I had a party.”
