Pooper:
After defeating Arian (who is subsequently killed by his boss, Chien Wu for failing to stop Ito), Ito manages to get Reina on a boat to safety. Chien Wu tracks Ito down, and the film ends with Ito facing seemingly impossible odds as he attacks Chien Wu and his dozens of hitmen.

Long Ending:
Ito (Joe Taslim) is one of the heads of the criminal organization, the Triads. He is overseeing the slaughter of numerous (mainly innocent) villagers after a few of the villagers stole some drugs from the Triads. His assassins are about to gun down a young girl named Reina (Asha Kenyeri Bermudez) when Ito snaps. He kills his underlings (getting himself wounded in the process), takes Reina with him, and flees. He goes to his girlfriend’s house, who patches him up. Ito explains that he is done with his criminal ways and hopes to flee abroad with Reina to safety. He contacts some of his former gang members – Fatih (Abimana Aryasatya), Bobby (Zack Lee) and Wisnu (Dimas Anggara) – and they concoct a plan to smuggle Ito and Rina out of the country.

Meanwhile, another Triads boss named Chien Wu (Sunny Pang) has learned of Ito’s defection and is charged with killing both Ito and Reina. Chien Wu summons Ito’s best friend who still works for the Triads, a man named Arian (Iko Uwais) and promises Arian a promotion if he kills Ito. Although Arian accepts the job, he is clearly conflicted about his mission and his association with the Triads. The Triads track down Ito and his allies and attack. Although the foursome put up a great defense and kill dozens of Triad goons, Fatih, Bobby and Wisnu are all killed. Two top enforcers – deadly women named Elena (Hannah AL Rashid) and Alma (Dian Sastrowardoyo) – corner Ito and Reina. However, Arian intervenes and distracts the enforcers, allowing Ito to escape (earlier in the battle, Fatih could have killed his old friend Arian and chose not to, so Arian is repaying the favor). Ito flees to a safehouse, but is tracked down by a mysterious assassin named the Operator (Julie Estelle).

It turns out that the Operator has a vendetta against the Triads and wishes to kill them all. She agrees to help Ito and Reina escape the Triads’ clutches. Although Ito and Reina have tickets and fake passports for a ship departing the next morning, the Assassin and Ito agree that the Triads will stop at nothing to kill them before then. So Ito leaves Reina in the Operator’s care while he goes to destroy the local Triads’ headquarters. Meanwhile, Elena, Alma, and some goons manage to find the safehouse. But the Operator brutally kills them all before taking Reina to the docks where the ship will pick her up.

Arian enters the Triads’ headquarters and kills dozens of men. He is almost killed by a sniper, but Arian takes the sniper out (saving Ito’s life). The two friends are the last ones standing, and the square off against each other. Arian says that after giving it much thought, he wants to assume Ito’s former role and will kill Ito to get it. Ito tells Arian that he is a fool. The two engage in a gory, brutal battle. It ends after Ito nearly slits Arian’s throat, but ultimately chooses to spare him. As Ito leaves to meet Reina at the docks, Arian shoots at Ito but purposefully misses. Chien Wu and some reinforcements arrive just after Ito leaves. Arian attempts to kill Chien Wu, but his gun is out of bullets. Chien Wu has his assassins kill Arian (they riddle his body with machine gun bullets before shooting Arian in the head to finish him off).

At the docks, Ito and Reina embrace. But Ito explains that she’ll never be safe so long as she is with him. The tearfully part, with Reina successfully leaving on the boat to a place where the Triads habe no power. Ito then gets in a car and is cornered by Chien Wu and dozens of goons. The goons aim their guns at Ito as he speeds towards them in his car, a murderous look on Ito’s face. The film then fades to black as Ito drives through a hail of bullets towards Chien Wu.
