Smile 2(2024)

Six days after the last movie, when Rose killed herself, her ex Joel (Kyle Gallner) is now the recipient of the Smile Curse. He tries to remove it by killing a drug dealer in front of his brother but he accidentally kills the witness too. This is seen by another dealer named Lewis (Lukas Gage), who gets the curse passed onto him after Joel gets hit by a car.

Pop star Skye Riley (Naomi Scott) is recovering from a car accident a year earlier that killed her boyfriend Paul. After visiting Lewis, she witnesses Lewis kill himself after the Smile Entity possesses him and makes him smash his face with a weight plate. The curse passes onto Skye, who starts hallucinating that people are giving her sinister smiles.

Skye meets a nurse named Morris (Peter Jacobson) who knows about the curse since his brother was a victim. He offers to stop her heart and revive her to get rid of the curse, but she rejects this. However, after ending up in a psych ward where it appears as though she killed her mother/manager Elizabeth under the Entity’s influence, Skye flees with help from her estranged friend Gemma (Dylan Gelula), except that “Gemma” has been the Entity all along.

Skye meets Morris at a Pizza Hut to stop her heart in the freezer. The Entity attacks Skye again but she fights back and tries to stop her heart on her own. The Entity played a trick on her just like with Rose and made her think she won, before forcing Skye into her own concert.

In front of hundreds of fans, as well as an alive Elizabeth (Rosemarie DeWitt), the Entity possesses Skye and forces her to jam her microphone through her head, now passing the curse on to a larger scale of victims.
