Atheist Peter Kelson (Ben Chaplin) is indeed chosen by Satan to become the Anti-Christ on his birthday; people around him are shown to be part of the plan, including his girlfriend and a group of satanists around his uncle. He flees from them with catholic Maya Larkin (Winona Ryder) and later they wait in the car to see whether “it” will happen. At 4:55, the digital clock in the car changes to 6:66. Maya shoots him.
