Judith Trahearn (Bette Davis) is a spoiled play girl, horse enthusiast who develops brain cancer.  Bad news:  it’s terminal.  Good news:  it’s the “Hollywood” version of cancer so that she doesn’t lose her hair, feel any pain, marries her brain surgeon (George Brent) and gets to wear fabulous Orry-Kelly gowns!  And, she parties with Ronald Reagan and is nearly seduced by Humphrey Bogart!

She still dies, though, to a lovely, if over-wrought Max Steiner score.
