Tara took the “dead head” mushroom the first night they all arrived at the campsite. She went crazy, killed all her friends without realizing it til after she had been “rescued” from the supernatural forces she assumed were murdering them one by one.
Tara then kills the paramedic and runs wildly back into the forest.
